Seminar course on the neuroscience of reading and reading disorders. Topics include cognitive, computational, and neuroconstructivist theories of reading, a review of healthy/typical reading development and disorders of reading in childhood, theories of dyslexia (both contemporary and historical), brain bases of literacy, and current neuroimaging research in reading development and disorders, cross-linguistic and bilingual reading development, and global literacy.
