In this course, students will learn about the host-pathogen interface from two perspectives: that of the host, and that of the pathogen ("bug"), as well as how host processes combat infection and how these processes are molecularly co-opted to cause disease. Emphasis will be on contemporary work, including the evaluation of pre-print manuscripts.
