CHM2102H: Molecular Imaging in Diagnostic Medicine

This course will introduce the fundamentals of medical imaging techniques, including CT, MRI, PET/SPECT, and ultrasound imaging, and focus on the chemical principles of developing different types of molecular imaging agents to improve the sensitivity and specificity for detecting diseases with high spatiotemporal resolution. The potential impacts of such emerging techniques on early and precise medical diagnosis, as well as on basic biologic sciences will also be discussed.
