This is a core course for both the Pathologists’ Assistant (PA) and Clinical Embryology (CE) fields in the MHSc program in Laboratory Medicine. Material is chosen to prepare students to work in many types of medical laboratories. Specifically, material is chosen to provide all staff within a medical laboratory with an understanding of the processes at work, even if they never take on a specific management or supervisory role; nonetheless, the content will form a solid foundation for such future advancement. The PA and CE students will participate in the delivery of course materials. Active participation by all students will enrich their learning experience.
