The course will include a reading list of journal articles prepared by the supervisor to cover the topics listed above in an organized manner throughout the course. The journal articles will be presented by the student to the supervisor and discussed. The Final Report will be a written submission in the form of a focused, in-depth scientific review article. The student, with the supervisor's advice, should identify and read appropriate scientific journal articles. The review should include a critical analysis of the background literature and a discussion of knowledge gaps that may be investigated in the future. The review is about 8 pages, single-spaced, excluding references, figures, and tables. The review should include a Highlight Table and a summary/abstract. The student should present a theory that reflects the current state of knowledge in the field based on the findings in the literature review. Here is an opportunity to be creative and innovative in concluding how the literature findings may be interpreted. As the review is written, the student should seek advice and discuss their progress with the course supervisor. The student is encouraged to produce a valuable, publishable review.
