This course provides a foundational understanding of human reproductive physiology and the biological processes underlying successful reproduction, including gamete production, fertilization, and embryo implantation. The course explores the regulation of reproductive function through the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, advances in reproductive medicine, and the impact of in vitro fertilization (IVF) on the treatment of infertility. It introduces key concepts in clinical embryology and provides a foundation for further study within the Clinical Embryology curriculum, while also being suitable for graduate students interested in reproductive physiology.
