Over the last two decades, the study of human brain structure and function has come to rely on the latest developments in medical imaging technology, especially magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This course will provide an understanding of the principles of magnetic resonance imaging and cover concepts of advanced MRI neuroimaging methods used for quantitative imaging. The course is primarily intended for students who will use quantitative MRI neuroimaging techniques in their own thesis projects, and need to have a solid understanding of the physical and mathematical principles behind these methods in order to acquire good data and analyze them appropriately.
