MSc graduates from the IMS continue their education in PhD programs and professional schools, volunteer/intern, or enter the job market. As graduate students they become familiar with an area of research, learn technical skills as applied to their research project and develop their communication and critical thinking skills. This course focuses on creating a healthy student-supervisor relationship, project and time management, developing transferable skills, and building a professional network. Each session will feature an interactive presentation, in-class activities, and peer evaluations. Students will be expected to read resources provided and prepare materials before each class. Complementing the course will be a series of Friday afternoon interactive career development panels and networking events.
