OCT1162Y: Mental Health Foundations for Occupational Therapy Practice

This course is designed to introduce students to mental health foundations for occupational therapy practice. Students will examine occupation in the context of mental health at both the individual and population levels across the lifespan. Through interactive instructor and guest lectures, large and small group learning, case-based learning and skills labs, students will develop knowledge and skills relevant to mental health as foundations for further learning through subsequent coursework (i.e., "Enabling Occupation" courses) and fieldwork placements in the MScOT program.
