REH3000H: Theories, Models, and Frameworks in Rehabilitation Sciences

This PhD-level seminar course will examine historical, current, and emerging theories, models, and frameworks in the Rehabilitation Sciences, framing them in the context of problems currently facing the field. It will contrast them with other knowledge generation approaches, i.e., those outside of science and Western perspectives. This course will provide the opportunity for students to explore and discuss in depth how theoretical approaches and perspectives can shape research questions and advance the discovery, development, and application of knowledge in the Rehabilitation Sciences. Students will develop the skills needed to critically evaluate the theories, models, and frameworks used in the field.
