This course covers the principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics with an emphasis on their application to managerial decision-making in a global context. Topics include consumer and producer theory, market equilibrium, price discrimination, game theory, and various market structures, as well as the measurement and drivers of aggregate output, cyclical patterns in GDP, the role of money and interest rates, the impact of expectations, and the mechanics of exchange rates and international capital flows. Students will learn to interpret economic indicators, evaluate policy actions, and apply economic reasoning to strategic business decisions.
