Semester 1 of this full-year course will provide the opportunity for students to learn from experts within specialty clinics, begin to understand the patient journey, and observe genetic counsellors in a clinical setting. In semester 2, students will begin their fieldwork training and complete rotations in cancer, prenatal, specialty pediatrics, and within a molecular diagnostic lab. Average time commitment: 8 to 10 hours per week; this time does not include preparation and review.
