A directed reading course is a way to meet the needs of an individual student or a very small group of students who wish to explore topics not covered by courses currently offered at Bloomberg Nursing. They are categorized as elective courses and are subject to the same regulations as other elective courses. The directed reading course is carried out under the supervision of a member of the faculty. The student is responsible for finding a faculty member who is willing to work with the student(s). The supervising faculty member must have a Graduate Faculty (SGS) Appointment. Together they will decide the learning goals, deliverables, resources, timeline, and mechanism for feedback.
