PSL1462H: Molecular Aspects of Cardiovascular Function

This course explores the structure and development of the heart alongside the molecular mechanisms that drive cardiac and smooth muscle contraction. It focuses on ion channels, contractile proteins, and the regulation of electrical and mechanical function through kinases, metabolism, sarcomere dynamics, and ionic balance, while also examining how these processes are altered in cardiovascular disease.
