PSY3000H: External Research Project

This is a one-term research project course spread out over the full year, intended to give students experience doing research with a supervisor and lab other than their primary supervisor(s). The outside project supervisor must be a faculty member other than the student's PhD supervisor. The student's primary supervisor(s) and the outside project supervisor should meet together with the student to discuss the outside project and to ensure that it fulfills both the student's educational needs and is realistic (can be completed within the allotted time period, and that it is not so demanding that it prevents the student from conducting his or her own, primary research). A paper in the format of a manuscript, but no longer than 50 pages (including tables, references, and figures) should be submitted. Students will be graded on the basis of both the quality of the paper and their intellectual contribution to the formulation and execution of the project.
